CH88P Chair: 100 years after his birth, Hans J. Wegner is still creating new pieces. Wegner first designed the CH88 Chair in 1955 and it has been stuck in prototype status until now.

Carl Hansen & Son is launching the CH88 Chair as part of an ongoing celebration to mark Wegner's Birthday: he would have been 100 in 2014. The CH88 Chair features a steam-bent wooden backrest for support with slight curves at the ends to create a natural resting place for your arms. An oval-shaped wooden seat sits on straight steel legs to create a light, organic and industrial feel. As a bonus, the CH88 is a stackable chair, adding to its incredible versatility.

This Wegner CH88P Chair is available here with a painted frame in all of Carl Hansen & Son (CHS) Colors in a painted lacquer, with a seat in any of Carl Hansen & Son's fabrics or leathers.

All colored CH88 Chairs listed here are made of beech wood, which shows very little wood grain through the paint.
