A symbolic item of the WING series, the WING Armchair conjures the image of a graceful bird. The minimalist design aids in the chair's overall comfort, with subtle curves that fit perfectly to the shape of the body. The backrest, formed using highly advanced equipment technology, creates the compound curvatures rarely available. The solid wood is routed out by a series of successive etchings to carve out the multiple dimensional curves from a single block of wood. The WING series feature sophisticated yet subtle finger joints, an expressed detail of beauty and strength.

Inspired by the beauty and shapes of nature, Kiyoshi Sadogawa uses inherent characteristics of his materials to inform a minimalist design. With the WING series, he employs curved, flowing lines and shadows to create a sculptural look and feeling of mass. There are no straight lines here, and even the triangular elements - which represent the vitality of nature - are rounded.
